A Funny Tale from My Table: The Frozen Horror Disaster

One chilly Saturday night, my group dove into The Frozen Horror expansion. I was playing the Barbarian, confident in my ability to smash through anything the icy dungeon threw at us. Spoiler: Overconfidence is not a strategy.

We entered a room filled with Ice Gremlins, and I thought, “No problem, they’re just little guys.” So, I charged in… alone. Two turns later, I was frozen solid, thanks to a nasty trap I didn’t notice, and my teammates were too busy fighting an avalanche of yetis to save me.

Our Wizard eventually melted me out with a well-placed fire spell, but by then, the Frozen Horror itself had shown up. Let’s just say the campaign ended with us fleeing the dungeon, licking our wounds, and promising to “plan better next time.” Lesson learned: Always scout the room first! Griffin, Camden and Rontrell were so busy fighting the swarm of monsters that came spilling out of nearby hallways and rooms that I was left to fend for myself. Having your party come up with any kind of strategy would be better than running in blind lol
